For splices with: Aluminum to Copper, Aluminum to Aluminum and Copper to Copper
AlumiConn is UL listed, CSA approved and independently tested (see page 9 of the report). Perhaps best of all, it’s the most economical aluminum-to-copper connector available on the market today for pigtailing copper wire to aluminum wire. It took engineers over 4 years of research and development to design AlumiConn as acomplete and permanent solution. The result is a splice that is safer, cooler, more reliable, and more secure than any other solution available today. And it’s priced at a fraction of other solutions that simply aren’t practical.
AlumiConn vs. Other Solutions
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), twist-ons are believed to be temporary repairs at best. Testimonies from the field indicate an even greater concern. Outside of completely rewiring the home, the CPSC has endorsed only one product for repairing aluminum-to-copper wiring splices called Copalum. The Copalum crimp is a viable solution to your aluminum wiring needs, but it’s costly and difficult to secure a certified installer. With AlumiConn, you still get a complete and permanent repair, but at a fraction of the cost.
